We’re doing it because it’s the right thing to do

The title is a quote from the company in the article “Satellite to be rerouted in James Kim search” regarding the search for James Kim. It’s nice to see a company out there doing something because it’s the right thing to do. That quote made me ponder why doesn’t a satellite exists for the sole purpose of finding missing persons. What’s your thoughts? Do you think that a government should have a satellite that can be used in search and rescue operations by law enforcement? Or would that make Big Brother all to real?

Funny Money

I was completely shocked today when I read the article “No Ordinary Counterfeit” from the NY Times and learned about North Korea’s counterfeiting operation. I knew N. Korea had it’s hands tangled up in a web of illicit activities such as nuclear war heads, kidnapping, assassinations, manufacturing of methamphetamine and even starving it’s own people but I was completely left in the dark on this one. It seems like there is still a hell of a lot left for me to learn about politics. This in my opinion however is wrong on so many different levels. Not to mention it completely irks me to know that the N. Korean regime is driving luxury cars and sipping on cognac paid for with fake American money. When You and I both work day in and day out to make a decent and honest living while they do some of the most dishonest activities known to man. They have already crossed the line of no return so it’s only a matter of time before someone blows them out of the water.

Time for a change!

Here’s a quote that I came across this evening that I believe should serve as a reminder to the American public that we need to learn from our mistakes and not repeat them like we currently are in Iraq.

“Never has so much military and economic and diplomatic power been used so ineffectively, and if after all of this time, and all of this sacrifice, and all of this support, there is still no end in sight, then I say the time has come for the American people to turn to new leadership not tied to the mistakes and policies of the past.” Richard Nixon, 1968

The above quote was taken from a blog titled “WWND” (What Would Nixon Do?) and if you’re up for an interesting read be sure to click on the link for Richard Nixon.
